These are the official Forum Rules of D2A!
1. Don't post anything offensive. If you have a grudge with someone in D2A, keep it to PMs, don't make it a public brawl. If you have a problem with an officer of a division, bring it up with a guild elder such as SWARM, Deathwish, Naill, or BishopWraith or the division's leader. Also, dont post anything graphic or relating to pornography. There are younger people on these forums. Also, try to watch the language as well as not making inapropriate thread titles or posts.
2. Make sure it will contribute to the forums or has meaning. Don't post spam and nonsense threads. Ex.- Thread name: I Roxxor! post: Today, I went to a base, and killed them all, I Roxxors! Now I'm gonna go do it again!
3. Before making a new thread, be sure it hasnt been posted before as well as making sure that you are posting in the appropriate forum. Use that cool Search button at the top of the forum page to make sure and maybe do a little forum searching just to double check!
4. When you make a thread, don't keep making new threads everytime something changes, add a reply to your thread or even click that magical edit button! It does wonders! I believe the Steam forum team said it best: IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO POST IN AN EXISTING THREAD THAN TO START A NEW ONE!
5. Have fun and be active on the forums. Just don't go crazy. Also please rate other people's posts, but do so accordingly. If you make an alternate account just to give yourself creditability, we will be able to see what you're doing, and that account will be banned from the site along with you're primary account and IP.
6. Read the Pinned topics. They often contain important information relating to that specific forum!
7. The D2A Site Managers reserve the right to delete, lock, edit, and/or pin any thread as they see fit. So if you post something against forum rules or make double threads, it is possible that it will be deleted.
8. D2A members are not allowed to recruit people for non-d2a gaming groups AND are also not allowed to recruit from game to game. (This basically means, you can start your own werner outfit, but you cant use the website or TS to recruit. It also means that EQ2 members can't go into PS TS or forums and try to get players to switch games) Same goes for non-D2A members. If you wish to start a new division in D2A for a game, send a PM to one of the clan elders. (SWARM, DeathWish, Naill, BishopWraith) You will also need a current officer from an active D2A division to sponsor it. If you come to these forums and try to recruit people for your own website or gaming community, you will be banned and all your posts deleted.
9. Please do not make threads about "money making" schemes. These ads are usualy scams and we do not want to see them advertised on our site.
10. The same goes for website advertising. Don't advertise your gaming site/community in our gaming site/community!
-If you disobey any of the rules here, the D2A site admins reserve the right to give you a warning or even no warning at all before you are banned. Repeat offenses will result in an immediate ban.
I believe Steam's Posting and You movie will help explain this further....(yes, click the posting and you red text)
Be sure to visit the Video, Wallpaper, Screenshot, and Guide submissions thread for more info on the rules and how to for submissions.
Signatures:
- For signatures, please don't make them excessively long! More important, dont make them stretch the screen width! Some of you have Sig's that make the screen wider than it needs to be so be sure to resize them! If your sig is made up of multiple small parts, you can put some side by side istead of one after the other going down. That also helps make it smaller! This also gives people the ability to read the next post instead of having to scroll through your entire sig just to read!(a maximum width of 600 pixels is best for the D2A site, so when makng them, plz keep this in mind)
